My Name

I'm named for an actress,
and I've been misspelled all my life.

Everyone ends me with a why
instead of I.

Fitting, yes?

More or less.

This made me smile. A lovely play on “y”/“why”. I love it!

I'm curious... Which actress?

Fitting yes, because asking questions change us more than giving answers...

I like this poem about your name. I am glad mine can be spelled only one way. Smiles.

I think this is about getting married --- the theatrics involved. Saying "yes," but with an unsure question mark at the end. The word "fitting" makes me think of wedding dresses.

You want to be "ended" with a capital I. Someone firm in their identity. Otherwise, how will the new you be bold and sure of who she is? Rebirth. Constantly becoming a new you. Hopefully next to the right person.
