Raven

Raven rides the line above
and chides her weary hunter.
Want her dead or live, you'd love
to bed her ugly under
the dirt     of the murder tree
on your knees     plot and graving
clad in widow's weeds     raving

The darkness of the murder tree, the person on her knees, raving..........there is a powerful story behind this strong poem.

Very intriguing. The fact that it refers to the "raven" makes it all the more mysterious and dark. Great write!

Hmmm. Methinks there's a tale to be told here. I like to think the raven rides.

MZ--I love the pairing of raving and raven. (The line breaks are cool, too.)
