Flashlight Tag

Like a mannequin
in the marigolds, still
as a statue.

Let the flashlight circle of sun      pause,        then pass you by.

Don't laugh       run fast
for the streetlight.

Flying braids and bare feet -    Tag!

Too slow     this time.

What a glorious glimpse this is...I can see that "mannequin in the marigolds". She looks like Baby Puppy. Loved this, Kelli.

I felt like was observing a game I've never seen... loved the mannequin in marigolds.

Stunning...the stop start and that wonderful pause...magic.

Mama Zen--This is the perfect poem for the almost-end of the summer

Brought vividly to life in quick glimpses.

I remember being little and playing flashlight tag. I was never much of a runner, or active kid at all, but there was something thrilling about seeing the way your well known neighborhood just felt different in the dark. Thanks for the trip to memory lane.

I totally agree. We played flashlight tag and hide and seek when I was a child. I rain like the wind, skinny knees pumping, pony tail jumping, I loved this trip down memory lane

What a game! I'd love to play, although I'm sure I'm not fast enough to win. :)
