When You're As Old As Me

When you're as old as me,
you'll see that days clamor for attention
while years
barely whisper
as they pass.

You'll see your body as a temple
with a bit of sag
in the ass.

You'll see laugh lines
as signs
that you've lived right.

I'm glad you didn't mention cellulite. That insidious ass destroyer.

Brava! Copied, printed, taped to the wall behind my computer ~ perfect reminder of 'where I am.'
