Breakfast

It's early.
We're late.
And all but the bacon
is left on her plate.

Breakfast - a mother's first fail of the day.

Scrambled eggs?
Cinnamon toast?
Frosted Flakes?
A bowl of oats?

Breakfast - this mother's first fail of the day.

Ah yes, it can be difficult sometimes to prepare a hearty breakfast especially when one is running late. Admirable write :)

Lots of love,

Sometimes the world just seems a beat or two fast, and the self a beat or ten slow. It can feel like it's all uphill.

So hard to get them to eat in the morning - then they stay hungry till noon. Maybe a smoothie would go down easier?

I wouldn't have dared to let my mom know breakfast was a fail--or dared to leave it over. Sigh. But times have changed. I kind of feel the irony here, and see the mom's eyes rolling.

Certainly the way your children eat is a measure of the their wellness and mood especially if their favorite tastes are ignored.

My kids never leave the bacon either. I never seemed to get above a "fail" on my mom report card. But we show up, listen, love - very much above average.

But not an epic fail! Full tummies and a hug is surely a success...a satisfying poem..good as bacon

bacon ... be achin', on the "left" side of the plate; everythint else on the "right"

breafast ... definitely what we do every day: break fast

mother's-first fail of the day ... I feel like the biggest failure when I put myself first.
