a bare branch trembling
a north wind leaf shuffling ache
under the weather

Perfect. Haiku is easy to screw up, but this lands perfectly, like a leaf off a tree.

I often feel that ache, though here it is a mild 58 degrees and I went out to take photos of leaves still on the trees. Powerful writing. Have a great day.

Nice play on words in your last line.

Makes me think of my left knee--every year older, it gets better at predicting the weather!
I can see the trembling branch and the leaf clinging to it, about to be blown away on a chill breeze.
Actually, I love the fall. But it's best when one has a nice warm home to go to where the falling leaves can be viewed through a window as they blow about!
