Nothing Left To See Here

It's lonely in the future.
It's lonely in the past.
The present is just boring,
and it lasts and lasts and lasts

forever and this heartbeat -
single, slow, and small -
between nothing left to see here
and already seen it all.

MZ you just need to put it to some music or better yet Rap. It sounds like a teenagers worst nightmare.

Hope you are having a great Sunday

Wonderful poem, but oh, there is so much more to see.

Have a blessed day.

You described loneliness and hopelessness so well ... some just lose the wonder and anticipation of seeing more ... how sad, where there is so much to see and hope for! :)

Considering my tendency to dwell on the darker side of the road, I applaud this ditty.

Ah, you can and do even light up the darker side!! I love it and a perfect one for the day -- as always!! Have a great new week, MZ

Great sadness and hopelessness here in these lines that many of us have all felt at one time.

We live in the present so we need to find ways to make it more exciting. I do agree there are days that are boring.

I do hope this person finds some way to find joy in the present...it could be a long life he they kept feeling this way for a long time.

Wow! Lyrical and true. That place: where you've landed from where you've come, from ... where you want to be. Wonderful writing!
