Alive

From this green grass cradle, I
touch
the blue of the blackening sky.
Watch
the stars disrobe and shine.

It's a milk and mudcake night.

There's a poem on my lips
from
my heart and from my hips.
From
my toes, my fingertips;

It's alive.

So am I.

Oh, this is very wonderful. I love the layout, too. But mostly the way it paints a lovely scene before me, of grass and sky, and makes me feel - alive.

Beautiful as always and as always, your words leave me breathless and amazed by the picture they paint.

This is just an awesome piece.

I know I left a comment earlier--but I must have forgotten to press the publish button. Your poem launched me into mine by making me step back into early John Travolta movies. This poem and the women in it are alive! And so am I.

Poem and dance .. that is where the lips and hips connect isn't it?

How many partners do we have to let go of to get to this dance. Yes.

Love the idea of the stars disrobing to shine. So elegant, immediately thought of Erté.

Wanted to thank you for leaving the first comment I've ever received without publishing on Real Toads. Much appreciated.
