Still Life

It's still
life outside my window.
Everything
straining toward something.
Degrees turning.
Time burning.
Nothing
is still.
Life.

How I hold on to hope.  For Sherry's prompt at Real Toads.

YES! PERFECT! You always can say it true, so succinctly. It IS still life - thus, hope. Bang on, Mama Zen. Thanks for writing to the prompt. You nailed it.

Yes, M Zee, perfect. And yes there is still life out that window.
Did you want some fun word play? I found a little, take your choice or both, can't have neither.

Still life, still, as in a 'still snapshot'.
Still life, life, like in 'life goes on.'

Excellent play on 'still life' - there is still life but for how much longer, it's hard to estimate.

You can and do say it perfectly with so few words and you never fail to amaze me! Hope your weekend is going well, MZ!

The title coils the sentiment, turning both ways at once. Yes.

Yes, you sum it up perfectly.

I love the "still life" at the beginning and the "still. Life." at the end.
