Others' Rooms

Others' rooms womb
pink afternoon light. Words fuck
like rabbits on the leaf
lettuce shag.  Keyboards
shiver and dry stroke
themselves. The cursors.
The cursors never blink.

A nod and a wink to Gertrude Stein for Izy's prompt at Real Toads

The perfect response to the self-indulgent jerking off that is Stein's "poetry".

Wow, a room laden with significance and tension! Beautifully Steinish.

So that's why we're all so crazy about poetry.

Welp, I want this on a t-shirt. Often times when I read Tender Buttons, I think how did people not know Stein was writing all about sex for like most of it.....even the phrase "tender button" is a call out to that certain lady spot- or so people suspect.

Well done here MZ! Viva la

Nice Mom Zee. I've been dabbling with Words for several years now and had been wondering where the thrill was coming from. Now I know. Thanks.
Also I've traded all my pens for Keyboards and given the cursers a raise.

Honey, Gertrude would so appreciate your use of "womb" as a verb, the whole sexuality of this one. The final observation, who blinks and who doesn't, is priceless. Yes. Loved it! Amy
