"I've missed you longer than I loved you." What a great line.
i guess some people's memories are best kept as poems
Very clever, MZ--we can miss people when they are right next to us! Or certain miss what we'd like them to be! Thanks. k.
... and I miss your poetry!
What is time to the eyes of the babes who squander it away. Time should be spend with the one's that you love and the one's who you care for. Really enjoyed this poem Zen! Such a great message.
Those last two lines say so much about our capacity for love and our need to feel a part of a greater whole.
Love knows not of time indeed! In its arms, a moment can last forever. Love this.
Oh, this says so much. I adore "I've missed you longer than I loved you."
The question "what is time?" a so profound and important question.. really that might be measured but never answered.
LOVE your opening, Mama Zen!
A very tasty morsel.
So simple, and so beautiful. Okay, Emily, my hair is gone.
I loved this poem and will go down to read so many more. I wonder if everyone feels this poem is for them only. It is a universal poem. I have missed you Mama Zen.
GAAAK!!!! You can do so much with so little. Extraordinary MZ!
Love how this unfolded MZ--no pun intended!
nice...time is what it takes some times....that third line though is solid...
Fine image of the tucked-away memory of love, like a letter, "real folded with time." Memory steps in where presence departs; its the chapel of absence, and holy. Ish. But always bittersweetly short of the real.
Time, it has such a powerful effect on each of us. There is so much said with such few words in this piece.
I love this! I've been there!
Freaking awesome. That's my official opinion.
gosh, this one is like a jumprope rhyme. :)i love "real folded" which is how i first read it. like real in.
Love the third line.I just thought I saw Galen's picture in the comment roll. Just for a flash. Isn't that weird?
