Early To Rise

Remnants of rain.
Birdsong and breath.
Barefeet.
Wet grass.
Alone.

A sketch poem for Margaret's prompt at Real Toads

Would be a relaxing and refreshing experience unless you are not missing someone by your side. Beautifully penned. :)

I sketch perhaps, but I see the scene so clearly, feel the dew beneath my feet. Lovely.

But not lonely. Love this.

Mama Zen--Even your "sketches" are better than the "portraits" I spend days on...

Such a pleasant sketch, M. Zee, you did well.
I love these kind of mornings, I've enjoyed a lot of them, early out on the golf courses.

Early morning can be gorgeous, *because* it is quiet, and one can hear one's own mind.

Lovely. I tend to soak my shoes but it is quite cold here. Thanks. K.

It's stunning as always although to get my naked feet wet, I'd have to go down 4 flights of stairs and then go outside and get on the grass....\Ps re yesterday's comments I'd like very much if you could go to my STuff and somewhat Art you can find it on my profile, it is similar yet contrary to yours from yesterday

Lovely, MZ!

Just came from Fireblossom's to thank her for her comment thanking me for my comment about her poems in Gemini...

But to find that a poem of yours has been published in "Oklahoma Poems and Their Poets". Congratulations on your creative juices being welled! :))

I love that time of the morning...even in your poem's brevity it paints so many images

Mama, this read both ways: poignant and bittersweet. My choice is poignant, since the sensations are all so positive and life-filled. The ironic side of me would be missing the one you once shared all these mornings with... beautiful. Amy (yes, I am still among the living!!!)

I love the solitude of morning and you just "sketched" the reason why! Perfect (sorry it took me so ungodly long to make the rounds on this prompt… )
