Hatching Spring

I'm going to take a birdbath
and nest in the mulberry tree.
where I'll sing to every snowflake
until it's hatching spring!

For Margaret's prompt at Real Toads

Great visual poem that does justice to the painting- and I love the painting.

This is a wonderful song, perfect as child's poetry, with its bold images.

Hey… my Mr. Linky went crazy. Check back in a few to see if your poem is linked. Thanks

This was the first image that caught my eye in the exhibit and made me think… "poetry". I adore the short verse and the words are as vivid as the image!

Love the birdbath line. Full of a child's-eye view.
