Dogs

Dogs
don't pretend
to love you more or less than they do.
They can't fake indifference
or smiles.

Imagine
how happy
we could be - me and you -
if we were our dogs
for a while.

Woof! This should be light-hearted, I guess, but it reads kind of sad, to me.

I agree. Dogs have no pretensions, and their love IS unconditional.

This is full of truth. I would like to be one next time around, but then I worry--what if I got the wrong human?

I guess a dog's life doesn't sound so bad. Nice one.

dogs are much simpler than us, we make love so complex. and life. and sometimes they act a bit more human than we do...

This is adorable. It's so easy for them, we make life so complicated.

so carefree and loyal. to be a dog, I think, would be extremely liberating.

You've hit a perfect note here. We would benefit much by trying to emulate their devotion.

I'm in all the way, Id take a big bite out of google they took all my pretty pretty pictures then my new laptop crashed from all the gadgets they installed and took myphotos along, but fear not I know how to get most back. But for I've opened only one blog, talking about something, it's main purpose is that I can continue visiting my friends

My dog, yes, but there are a lot of dog mistreated, neglected and they are not happy little pups.

This clear-eyed and sadly longing. Wonderful insight.

Yes indeed, just imagine. So true.. oh that unconditional love. Sweet.

Ah no, you'd only be happy being given a piece of chocolate or something else insubstantial and meaningless. Plus, you are at the mercy of people for your every need, imagine that loss of independence. Loved the verse.
