Ordinary

Without moons and runes
and symbol soaked sighs;
burnings and bones
and star-carved skies;
the parting of seas
and the parting of thighs,
what am I,
but ordinary?

Wow! What power is a few words.

You, my dear, are far from ordinary and that's a good thing.

Ordinary magic is the best kind. And your poems are magic. Happy New Year, Poet-Girl. You are the poem. xo

Like Graham Parker sang, passion is no ordinary word. And poetry would be far too ordinary without MZ.

Here is no ordinary soul - but one who looks for meaning in the incomprehensible, the runes, the stars and all the other bits and pieces that, when forged, make poetry.

Happy New Year.

If you were ordinary, you wouldn't be my Favorite. So there!

I love the list of things without which the speaker is supposedly ordinary. Or then again, it is posed as a question; maybe she knows all along that she isn't.

No-one but no-one is ordinary. You of all people should know that. That doesn't mean that we have to like everyone, of course.

Juggle labels how one wills, one is what one is, and ordinary is always relative--a delightful one, MZ.

n'ordinary - it's my new word for you, a contraction of no ordinary. Since you deserve a new word, being no ordinary and all. ~

Ha--yes, if you take away all those things. Of course, they add in an "extra". Take care, happy near year. k.

I hear a hiss snaking methodically through this check list. Great atmosphere and rhythm and sound effects.
