"Sweet little pussy, aren't you, honey?"
he says, all money and milk
in the bowl.
But, she's not;
she's just caught

in a temporary corner.

Sounds like she doesn't like where she is very much! Effective poem and thanks for the prompt.

I hope the line spaced is the time it took her to leave that corner ... that the calm end is her tail-lifted triumph.

Ooh, I like this...the corner is only temporary. And as Shay said, cats have claws!

Any boss who calls his female employee a sweet little pussy had better get what's coming to him. I've learnt it's best not to corner a cat.

With teeth and a hiss! I keep thinking of the Owl and Pussy Cat here -- with plenty of money and a five pound note--where's the boat!? k.

Nobody puts Pussy in a corner ... or was it nobody puts Baby in a corner?Great poem either way.

I am cogitating on the idea of a 'temporary corner.' Smiles.

I think claws will make an exit from that temporary corner...so much in such few words!!
