Crow Boy

I see you
as a Crow boy
with red feathers in each hand.
My head tells me nothing's real,
but my heart insists on better than

nothing.

Concise and real ... I believe everyone will see your Crow Boy.

Like it or not we're governed by the heart. Rightly said MZ!

It always surprises me, even after reading your work for years, how well you can take a single thought and sharpen it to a needle point that cuts through everything. Every word here is worth ten.

Surreal and so real.

crow for death
red feathers for magic

Six short lines.

Six lines that say volumes...

Lordy. Asking MZ to try writing short is like asking Janis to take a crack at the blues.

The narrator's heart insists! And, I suppose, that is where imagination enters? I have read this poem several times, drawn to it and suspended in the space before nothing. I will not let it end either.
