Watermelon

We fall

sticky
in the fresh cut grass.

Fingers
seed slick.
Legs
vined.

We kiss

lips
watermelon wet

from the sweet suck
of flesh from the rind.

Sometimes watermelon will quench your thirst like nothing else. This is wild and tender, both, and brings back the memories.Lovely imagery, perfectly balanced.

yeah, mz, i think it should be sticky and messy.
reminds me of when woody allen was asked if sex was dirty-he replied, only if it's done right.
delicious poem
