No sluts? NOW what am I going to do with my Sunday afternoon???
Amusing. Nice write
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign...This may just have been for fun,mz, but there's a dangerous social truth here, and i concur.Beware the nutzAnother damn fine writeRick
And there is no shortage of nuts, that's for sure.
lol at Fireblossom!Well, clearly they have never been on a PIRATE SHIP! ;)
Clearly, you've been hanging out at the pier in Southern Maryland!
just watch out for the snipers at our borders....
Yep, I'm with Fireblossom!!! What am I supposed to do with my Sunday afternoon now???? Bet you didn't know there were any 79 year old sluts, huh???
Ha. I look at it as the bars are keeping them out of MY world :)
I think this image begs a bold response and I'm so glad you took up the challenge, MZ.
What a great response to the picture! A very fun read but with a real message.
This was funny... made me giggle. :)
This made me chuckle.
I was going to say I can't join but then I wondered if perhaps I'm a little nuts? :) I enjoyed this. Very clever, even if truly it isn't funny...
Now I'm just conflicted...they won't let me in for being a slutty woman, but they'll let me in for being a nut...maybe I should just sit in the corner and ponder this dilemma for a while. Nice write, Mama Z!
Ha! (Again.) You know, I say this - not meaning to brag--I'm sorry as I don't know how it comes across-- but I was lucky enough to go to Yale undergrad and Yale law school, and the other day was taken to dinner by someone to the Yale Club where a guy at the next table was going on and on about how women had ruined Yale. I felt quite proud of myself for leaning over and telling him that, and why, I definitely didn't think that was the case. At least it shut him up for the rest of the dinner. k.
When boats are outlawed, only NUTS will have boats! But sluts will sail closer to the wind. Perfect sum-up of the reptilian mindset. RE: karin's comment--maybe Yale NEEDED to be ruined?
I love this. A wonderful bright spot of truth disguised as humor. It reminds me of when I was young and used to have trysts with a rich man's son on his father's yacht at the Royal ---- Yacht Club. Such a feeling of daring, wondering if I'd be tossed out, for many of the reasons you listed.K
he..he...you got it right MZ~
CUTE! That means just about anyone can join :D
You got a huge laugh from me that started at the end of the first 4 lines and grew to the unexpected non-moralistic end. I hope it is all a very out-dated stereotype with no truth to it at all--but how is it that we all know who should/would be on that list?
You slapped those who feel entitled write across their attitude! Great job!
Sylvia K - you give me HOPE!
Reminds me of the line from the book Puckoon: She always thought of him when she saw the sign 'Members Only'.
A place like that would have no Me, either.....though - "sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes I dont". Hee hee. Gave me a good cackle, MZ!
Lovely rhythm, it fairly dances along - light, yet with an important message.
Just slightly exclusive!! Nicely done Mama!!
Funny, but sadly so. However, what kind of nuts would be permitted?
