Mama Zen--You get a WTF too. The idea of "worrying thin" a memory...mind-blowing.
I am going to buy all the Bolthouse Farms Vanilla Chai Tea in Shay's neighborhood to get back at her. What can I clear the shelves out to get back at YOU? ;)
What you can do in so few lines and so few words....Grrrr! (Can you hear me gnashing my teeth?)
This builds to the climax of your last line (which is just brilliant) with flawless flow of tempo and idea. I think you have found the secret to this form on your first attempt: it's all about that 10 syllable line.
"worrying thin" reminds me of a some domesticated creature worrying a bone - perhaps the bones of memory but no tangible flesh! Aaaah! So many thoughts inspired by your poem! Beautiful!

Sometimes at least in sleep we can find a bit of a reprieve from worry and heartache. Beautifully written Mama Z!
worrying thin each memory of you is a great line MZ....and yeah sleep at least, when you can get it, is a welcome relief...
Sleep is the elixir for worry, can so relate to this

Sleep little Zen girl, don't you cry...
;-)
I the most practical sense, if I could worry myself thin, I would.
Yes, this was beautifully composed.
Beautiful, moving, gut wrenching at the same time.
This says it all so perfectly. And the worrying thin a memory is a fantastic concept.
This is a good poem.
Making the form sing, MZ. Last line is killer.
I expect only excellence of you ... and get it every time!

This is wonderful. That tired worried frantic message is perfect for this short form. Sleep well..
Wonderful form and words ~
Happy Sunday MZ ~
Love that last line... and have been there before! Hope you get some relief!
I'll make you some warm milk, MZ. Or perhaps a nice strong drink!
Someone needs some sleeping pills and a distraction. A good book, perhaps?
aw.
Wish I could worry myself thin :)
Great!
Excellent job MZ
Love that last line. The whole tiny poem is perfect, but the last line is even more perfect, if that's possible.
