There Will Be Explosions

"Where's my super suit?"
hollers my super man.
It's testosterone time
at the movies again.
All I got
to say to that
is God bless Robert Downey, Jr.

Note:  That first line is from The Incredibles and is often (believe it or not) yelled in my house apropos of nothing.

Additional Random Bitchy Note:  Damn you, Blogger!  Quit screwing with stuff!

For Mary's movie prompt at Real Toads

I don't think I have seen "The Incredibles," but I COULD think of times when a 'super suit' COULD be useful! LOL.

Superpoet you are!

OhmyWORD.
Could this poem be more perfect for me?
I don't think so.

"Where is my super suit?" is inexplicably uttered in my home any time ANYthing is missing.
And I adore RDJ. In fact I married a man who looks just like him. :)

This is fantastic, Mama Zen. You've officially made my day.

I agree about Blogger. If they aren't improving something, why do they change it?
I need a super suit myself, a poet super suit. I'm not producing anything these days, but glad I can still read and comment.
I enjoyed this one a lot!

Thanks for the laughs, we own the Incredibles but latched on to Edna's wisecracks.

Is that anything like "Super Size me?"

I agree, blogger's new editor interface is ridiculous--why they continue to 'upgrade' things that work fine and not fix things that don't never ceases to amaze me.

Perfection.
And can I add a great Amen and several hallelujahs to your additional random bitchy note!

Dave King said...

(in case there's any doubt, the hallelujahs are to your comment, NOT to anything Blogger has done!)

A fantastic wee poem.

I think your house sounds like such fun!

Daily family life needs to have those suits of the Incredibles handy nearby, 'coz you never know when an Evil One will bust through the toilet or in the homework that didn't get done or from the soufflé (or husband) that just won't rise to the occasion. Every happy home needs an Iron (Wo)Man (and a poem to serve as Steely Dan, gitting er done). Fun fun fun. -Brendan

Sounds familiar (life w/ boys). = )

*I didn't like the new Blogger format, but found a place to switch back to the old one. I hope it stays that way.

Amen to Robert Downey Jr. :)

Well, if you've got to have a storm surge of testosterone, packaging it in Robert Downey, Jr. is a good thing. Johnny Depp would work too.

And I'm so with you about Blogger. Logging in yesterday brought a big surprise.

It reminds me of John Wayne in 'The Quiet Man' shouting "Woman of the house, where's my suppers" LOL
I'd give it to him, right in his face.
Haha
