Hallelujah!!
There is so much in religion that would kill thought, the reflective moment that searches for meaning and either finds or does not find it. Drawing lines of black and white, defining once and for all the allowed and the forbidden, that to me is highly irreligious. If there is a God, I believe, the transcendent reality that it represents asks us to always remain open to new possibilities, new realities. Otherwise, we die a spiritual death, which in Christianity is the ultimate sin. Your poem is a welcome call to ask oneself whether one is on that path or not. Your sarcasm is surely well earned by those who'd betray the gift that was given.

very cool, i never heard of the form before but it's neat how the second stanza is a mirrored image of the first, very neat.
