delicate as dying breath,
a bodice loosened
slowly by the sun.
She bares her windswept breasts, but
leaves her stockings on;
her February
flirtation, a melting dance
without commitment.

This describes a February day about as perfectly as you can!! What a hussy she is!! Hope you've had a great weekend!

nice...love that last little bit...shes got me in her grip today...2 inches of snow already and 2-6 more coming...but i am enjoying it...
She bares her windswept breasts, but
leaves her stockings on..
How brilliant!
I love this personification of nature, so alluring and sensual. Nature brings us into contact with those aspects of our psyches where we stay in touch with our most intimate natures. The playfulness of the images also makes it so much fun to imagine! I certainly saw nature differently as I read your words, and I hope they come to mind again the next time I walk in the woods. :)
She's a teaser. I loved your delicate description of her.
She bares her windswept breasts, but
leaves her stockings on...i love this...much freedom in this in a way..the contradiction...the choices..sometimes not logical...much enjoyed..
Brilliant and vibrant, MZ, like sun on icicles--I liked that pic, too--and it is the complete personification of a fickle but so alluring season.
I never thought of seeing winter this way, dancing without commitment...she is flirtatious indeed ~
I love these lines....She bares her windswept breasts, but
leaves her stockings on.....
excellent.
That last haiku captures the essence of this time of year.
does the february flirtation mean that february flirts? ;) i think so. :)

What a delightful personification of winter ~~~ Very nicely crafted! I shall not look at winter or February the same again! :)
Day 19
Dead good! Love the bit about - leaving her stockings on.
No snow here today, just an ugly rain...but you make winter sound so playful that I'd almost rather have the snow.
This is quite the most beautiful thing.......

That was quite the peep show, girl!
Beautifully creative:
"a bodice loosened
slowly by the sun"
Winter is such a tease:
"leaves her stockings on"
"without commitment"

zen ~ her February, a melting dance without commitment.. Loved it so much.. Thanks for blessing this..!
I love "her February flirtation." Beautiful haiku. I say we keep this up after February's over just to torture FB!
Oh, that sly seductress! :)
Winter
Loved. Every. Word. February flirtation, indeed. Thank you!
Lolamouse is evil. I've always said so. :-p
This is fantastic..your imagination always astounds me...such a flirty February
Brilliant...winter wears her lace delicate, as dying breath...wow! A real jewel.
Oh, the way you work with the haiku form is an art form all itself. I really don't think I've seen anyone come close to what you are able to get out of the haiku. Another great job and terrific inspiration you had here with this piece. Great job. Thanks
Now this is some imagination! WOW!
OH, Yes.
This is equisite.
""She leaves her stockings on""
You have captured this to perfection.
Evocative.
Beautiful!
Oh this is winter as I have not known her, though I love her. Jeez Louise, it's extraordinary.
bared breasts and stockings... every fantasy fulfilled. I always pray for the blanket, even if it's snow. :)
She's a sexy thing :) Everything is budding out here... she has fooled them.
If you're feet are warm, the intensity of pleasure is greater... at least that's what I read somewhere.
I had NO idea this was a haiku it is so so so smooooth!
I almost highlighted the whole damn thing to repost! ha ha. It is all extraordinarily beautiful. Again, I leave here saying "HOW will she top that!"
..and you will...
A beautifully crafted haiku!
Oooo... very sensual, lovely write. Almost... I said ..almost makes me want winter to hang around...but.. nahh bring on spring :) LOL
Oh, this is one clever flirtation!! Awesome
A beautiful depiction of february...love this poem.
