You caught the moon when it fell.
It turned to a pearl in your hand.
Placed on my tongue,
it dissolved to salt and sweet.
Then, wrapped in constellations
from your head down to your feet,
you commanded me
to navigate
by the stars.

Oh, Kelli! How good is this?! I love love love it.
Whoa! This is perfection.
Beautiful--perfect metaphor, dissolving the pearl, navigating by the stars...I loved that photo--mysterious, full of hidden things, yet sharp and clear cut--you present all of that and more in your poem, MZ.
Beautiful writing MZ~
Line one had me shaking my head in awe. Then I held my breath through the rest and exhaled seconds after the last word was read. Just perfection.
I had to come back. As with all the best poetry, this one continues to be as marvelous on the fourth read as on the first. I do hope you know what you've accomplished here.
I love this! The imagery is divine.
Perfection! I'm always so in awe of your talent.
Wowza! This is so sensual! I love it!
Cool piece. Line by line I love how this piece builds. The wrapped in constellations is really neat. Thanks.
wow...gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!
yummy!
Stay away from star navigation. The three wise men followed a star in the east by travelling west to Bethlehem.
this IS a perfect pearl!
Oh I love this .. did you know I had been trying forever to get a decent shot of the moon? That was my best shot to-date and I am so loving this poem because it is evoking all the feelings I feel when I am trying to get the shot
Oh I love this from beginning to end!
Yummy. :)

Wonderful. K.
How do you do it time and again? Just Beautiful.
Elegant. Evocative. What else can I say? It has all been said.
Could just about taste that pearl. This was wonderful!
Well, I just love this one.
