Open cruelty is a very powerful phrase. Nice poem.
No one says/writes it better! Powerful indeed, MZ!sylvia
I like it. Except that it's a hai...a huk...you know.
like the contrasting words...and felt...behind closed doors where the world cant see...
Excellently expressed.
Just superb.
So much said is so few words
Gave me a physical flinch. Another good one; consider some burnt hair as my real comment.
".....on hearts locked too late". I have known that kind of cruelty behind closed doors - one needs to go out that particular door and not look back. You have said this so well.
Really nice, missed your haikus MZ.
Strong haiku. Open cruelty leaving a mark.
Well done with this strong one!!
Nicely done. Ignore FB; haiku is good.
Nice one.
Lots of action in these three lines. Openclosedlockedthat's subtle and powerful technique. Great job.
wow! the way you chose and played with those words! amazing. I do hope the heart can be unlocked again and breathe air without cruelty.

Wow, powerful. I flinched! Enjoyed it though, and also reading some of the comments, too! Tell Fireblossom she needs to get her haiku-pants on ;)
