Whatnot

The gods seem unworthy
of worship.
A miracle is Jesus
on toast.
Comics are rarely
that funny.
I can't say which bothers
me most.

Unfunny comics are just wrong, and they're everywhere. Thank Goddess for Pearls Before Swine.

Heh, Mama Zen, you are right on. Comics haven't been funny in a long time, I don't think. We should start a movement to change their name....LOL. Apt poem!

unfunny comics are pretty bad...but jesus on toast and people that will pay for it on ebay just makes me cringe...

so true, I read the Saturday comics section and only 4 out of the 15 or so are worthy of my time

a sad, but accurate, commentary on the state of "civilization" ~ Jesus on toast, indeed.

I have to agree. Jesus in toast is just superb. Miracles leave a lot to be desired, I feel. (Mostly.) This poem is a real triumph over such adversity.

I usually visit those that I care about and didn't bother about the rest.

Most comics aren't very funny now...and neither is Jesus on toast :) this was good!!

So true, MZ. Go to an anime convention and you'll see hundreds of people who worship comic characters and it's quite funny too!
