Snowflake

The heat of my skin
melts your snowflake kisses
as fast as they fall
from your storm cloud lips.

Of such temporary lace
not a trace
will be left
by morning.

Fire and ice--lace and lava. Good one MZ--I like the images working overtime here.

Love snowflakes and lace. Great contrast between stanzas, too.

'temporary lace' - how utterly perfect is that?

The first verse particularly: a humdinger!
As Dave Allen used to say:
"May your God go with you!"

Pretty prose... I'll bet each kiss was different. :)

wow! I could interpret this poem into another direction….in a tryst.
but, I'll stick to the contrast of heat & cold.
short, strong little piece. I like the tropes used:
snowflake kisses; storm cloud lips…
and… the image of ''the heat of your skin'' 'gainst those kisses, is L U S C I O U S ! Love it.
nice job.

That second paragraph is, dare I say it, elegant. Babs would be in transports!

Lovely use of imagery, love the snowflake kisses, has a certain ring to it, especially when put into context with the heat of skin. Great job and the snowflake painting is really neat too. Merry Christmas
