Medicine

I take love
like white man's medicine:
fearfully,
doubtfully,
unwillingly.
If it works,
I'll credit a favorable moon.
If it hurts,
I'll have no one to blame but you.

Drugs, medicines--sometimes hard to tell the difference. You're getting really good at the short form, MZ.

Love is good medicine. I hope it doesn't hurt. Every word was soaked in meaning. :)

'white man's medicine' ... for this woman that would be J&B. It helps.

I really like the way this reads. The mix of "medicine" with culturally based opinion, I found novel and worked out great. Thanks
