I don't have to be a saint
to be worth saving.
I don't have to pray for rain;
it comes all on its own.
I have your words tucked away.
I pull them out,
smooth the page,
they soothe me.
When day gives way to night,
I have enough to know
I'll be all right.
A gratitude poem in 55 for G-Man, dVerse, AND Real Toads. Aren't I productive?

I have enough to know I'll be alright... Who needs more than that kind of reassurance?
I like the attitude with a touch of tenderness tone in this. Blessings to you and yours!

I really love this little poem.
As far as being productive...spreadin' it around, MZ? *snicker*
Wonderful piece MZ. First four lines are great thoughts, but you topped those with the smoothing of the page. Really enjoyed, thanks
Nice multitasking. And better than it has to be. I'm just thankful we can return to a post-holiday level of thankfulness, myself.
a true feminist that multitasks :)
Ah, so many words, so few places to tuck them. this was peaceful and filled with contentment.
Beautiful.
I have enough to know
I'll be all right...
Wonderful... amen.
I am just grateful that I keep finding decent poetry to read ;-)
To treasure what truly matters, love that certainty you present to us, that steadfast hope.

Oh, this is lovely. Such beautiful simplicity. Every day should be full of thanksgiving.
"I have enough to know
I'll be all right."
And that is exactly when enough is really enough.
