I have patience with
you, my bride. You wax, you wane;
I'll feed when you're full.
As you work your way
through the sky. You wax, you wane;
I'll feed when you're full.
Pulling my blood like
a warm tide. You wax, you wane;
I'll feed when you're full.
I'm patient,
but I'll not be denied.
Editorial Note: Dear G-Man, I nearly drove myself stark raving insane to get that to 55 words. Only for you, my friend.

Infinitely cool and sufficiently creepy, and 55 words that speak like a hundred. Love it.(Last lines are perfect.)
Rythmic like the sounds of the night... I can here the crickets and feel the night breeze. The moon was beautiful the past few nights.
Ode of a werewolf?
*sweeps my hair away from my throat*
There's a moon out tonight...
Very musical and mystical- thanks.
nice refrain...and i imagine you will not have to wait too long...smiles.

Funny how we wrestle with getting 55 words exactly. Sometimes we fluff them up with superfluousness, other times we extricate precious words.
You feed us with this tome.
Great write!...I love the moon...it always inspires
I love the repetition in this. It takes on an almost demanding tone by the end. Nicely played.
love your word play.
beautiful 55.
You did it!
Diggin 55 haiku, MZ; fab job! We've been joking at work that although the moon is past full now, people don't know it and are still acting crazeee~
I've been bitten...well done!
That is a fully-fleshed, tightly-wrapped little masterpiece, a concise explosion of just the right words to celebrate the moon. Hotcha!
I enjoy the refraining lines.. it gives it a chilly bloody cold night.
Nice write MZ ~
Thanks for commenting in my haiku blog~
Heaven
No words wasted there...
You did it and I dig it!
stapled maples
very amazing one.
This is truly amazing. And I love G-Man's comment. That man can sow love like nobody's business.
Mama, this piece is outstanding. What's even more fantastic is the way it reads, I had no idea it was Haiku until I saw your footer. Wonderful, thanks a bunch
Fantastically spooky poem. I first thought of a vampire, but it does say "werewolf" more.
yikes!!!
Loved this. Would enjoy hearing you read it. It was gutsy, and I know from experience the effort it took to hit 55 words.

Good job, said the full moon.
I love this! But I do believe I'll be staying indoors for the next full moon. Heh.
