Conveniences, really.
But, no one has undone me
with a look
the way you do,
made me ache
with a smile,
the way you do,
enveloped me
the way you do
without even trying.
"Conveniences, really." That's a harsh self-insight that really shows the poetic eye--its easy to look dispassionately at the flaws of others, but to understand our own,and how they feed or detract from everything else, quite rare. I identify with that line, and all the others. Excellent piece that is totally on target.
Wonderfully worded. Reminds me of how I felt about my late husband. ...no one has undone me with a look the way you do..." brings me to tears. Beautiful, just beautiful.
